As a salesperson, there’s a good chance that you feel you have to step it up and take your performance to the next level. One of the easiest things you can do is take your enthusiasm down a notch (or even two!) and just be more relatable. Authenticity goes a long way in developing relationships with potential customers. Rather than focusing on the perfect closing, perfect your conversation leading up to the close. Also, know your discovery questions before you even call on your prospects. And finally, make sure you ask your clients for their budget, so you don’t waste their time and yours.
- You need to drop the enthusiasm. It comes across as inauthentic. Instead approach your potential customers like good doctors, in a calm, and measured way. It is more authentic.
- Do not pitch or persuade. Have a conversation and determine what the potential customer needs.
- You need to establish a budget. If you do not know the clients budget, how can you help them with their needs? Have a conversation, so you both are on the same page.
